Really. They need to stop growing up! I am not sure I can handle this!! No really, it's okay. I know they love their time away from mean old mom while they are at school and learning. And I am okay with that.
At least this summer they got a sortof vacation. In between going off for summer break and going back on we got 5 weeks break. Some of the tracks only had 2 weeks!

He is too little still...
Jonathan lost his first tooth! It was loose the last time we went to the dentist and they said he would lose it within the next 6 months. Then about 2 weeks ago I checked it and it was wiggling quite a bit. The day that he lost it I asked him if he wanted me to just pull it out for him and he said "no Mom. It will hurt." Ummmm, yeah. It kinda does...for like a second and then you are done. Oh well, whatever. Later that night, he came upstairs from watching movies with the girls and told me that he had pulled it right out. "Just like that, Mom!" He was so proud of himself!!
So needless to say, the tooth fairy had to make a bonzai run to Walmart to get a book since she didn't have any books that would interest Jonathan and that's what our tooth fairy brings instead of money. He got a Star Wars: The Clone Wars book and was thrilled!!

Jenny's birthday!
I got so behind on the blog that I apologize for all the posts in one day, but I actually had a chance to sit down tonight and get caught up and I seem to have overloaded the system!! haha! It's all good though.

Field tripping...
My friend Shannon and I took our kids to the Hill Aerospace Museum a few weeks ago. My kids had been asking to go there for a long time, so with them still out of school it seemed like good timing. It was tons of fun and they loved seeing all the old planes. Their favorite part was sitting in the pilot's chair and posing. Fun times!

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open house

We took the kids to the open house of the new temple that was built in Utah a few weeks ago. It was really beautiful inside and out and the kids loved it.
The cool thing was if you looked one direction from the temple you could see the Draper Temple and if you looked another way you could see the Jordan River Temple. That is cool!!

Our trip to Washington DC
We had so much fun!!! Here are some of the pictures of our fun time:
Hey dum dum, you give me gum gum. haha! This is the Easter Island statue from the Natural History Museum.
This one is for my mom. Look, they use organic solvent. This is the only dry-cleaners I saw.
The Capitol at night. This isn't the best shot, but I liked how the trees were in front of it.
At the Air and Space Museum, there was this thermo-scan thing. If you stood in the right spot it would register the heat in your body and then you could see it up on a monitor. It was so cool! This is our whole group. I am the one with the camera.
The headstones at Arlington National Cemetery.
My favorite thing was seeing all these small brick homes/buildings stuck right in between the big taller ones.
Mike in the Rotunda at the National Archives, which is the building where the Constitution is on display.
The Constitution of the United States of America. It was so awesome to see this. You couldn't use your flash at all or they would kick you out. Seriously. The writing is so faded on it.
The Capitol Building.
Mike in front of the words "Freedom is not free" at the Korean War Memorial.
Mike in front of Ford's Theatre where Lincoln was assassinated.
Me trying to be all tricky. I was standing at the Lincoln Monument and the Washington Monument was on the other end.
Mike and I by the sign at Arlington.
At the White House. This is as close as you can get unless you get lucky enough to take a tour, which we did not. Bummer, but that is okay.
