Oh my gosh...I love it!

The neighbors all think I am anyway. Guess it's fitting that the quiz says that is what I should be...

Don't be shy! Tell me what you should be too. :D

4 things about me- which one is NOT true?

Ha! On Jenna's blog, she did a post that looked like so much fun that I am being a copycatter and doing it on mine! Here is a list of 4 things I have done in my life. 3 of these things are true and 1 is a lie. You have to determine which one is the lie. Have fun!

1. When I was in college, my picture was taken and published in the school's weekly newspaper for an article about co-eds and first year of college weight gain.

2. I farted during my ACT exam and everyone heard it and laughed.

3. I did not have my first kiss until I was 22 years old.

4. I dated a college football player for about two weeks until we both decided that we couldn't just make out the whole time and we both needed a bit more substance to our relationship.

So there you have it! Leave me a comment telling me which one you think is the lie. I bet you are gonna be WRONG...hee hee hee

Okay...here we go. First of all, thank you for commenting and guessing. It cracked me up to read some of your guesses. I must be a good liar!! The correct answer is number 1. HAHA I gained a lot of weight my first year of college, but never participated in any articles written to document that fact. Those of you that guessed #3...hee hee...I did not have a lot of options of guys to date in the one-horse town that I grew up in and did not want to just kiss anybody. So, instead I kissed and made-out with the first guy I dated after I got home from my mission...like crazy. You heard me...#3 and #4 go together. YIKES! Now you know waaaaay more than you ever needed to know about me! :D

can you tell that I love Halloween?

This is so me...

What Your Halloween Habits Say About You

You're a friendly person, but not the life of the party. You like making someone else's day - and you'll dress up if you think of a really fun costume.

You definitely think of yourself as someone who has a dark side. And part of having that dark side means not showing it.

Your inner child is stubborn and a bit bossy.

You fear people taking advantage of you. You are always worried about protecting your own interests.

You're logical, rational, and not easily affected. Not a lot scares you... especially when it comes to the paranormal.

You are a traditionalist with most aspects of your life. You like your Halloween costume to be basic, well made, and conventional enough to wear another year.

'Cuz I better get lots of them!

I thought this would be a fun quiz since Halloween is coming...2 more days!!!!...and I always raid my kids' candy stash for my favorite candy to eat!

Snickers
Nutty and gooey - you always satisfy.

Why?

Every day I go to IMDB.com and read the latest in movie & tv news. Okay, so I know that it is shameless gossip, but I am hooked. Seriously, do these people (Brittney, Lindsay, any Baldwin brother, etc) even have a clue how to be normal. Sometimes I wonder if the things they do ARE simply for attention. It's crazy. I have an attention-seeker in my home. Her name is Rachel and she is 7 years old. Now, she is no Lindsay, but honestly this child does things...crazy things...just for the shock value, I think. Why else? So I read about these other weirdos out there so that I can tell myself that she is okay and not in need of an intervention...yet.

Anyway, I got a little off topic there. So I was reading today's gossip, and the first item listed in that Daniel Dae Kim got arrested for a DUI while filming "Lost" in Hawaii. Seriously...he is the third actor from that series to get arrested for a DUI in that state. CLUE IN FOLKS! Apparently you can not get away with drunk driving in Hawaii if you are a celebrity! Just get on board and STOP ALREADY! When are they gonna learn? I think that is why I am so drawn to reading/hearing the stupid things celebrities do is because I just can't believe that they didn't get it the first time. DUH!

Sick of 'em yet?

I've been tagged!

Oh my heck! I am so excited!! I have been tagged by Keeley from Wanderer in a Strange Land. Go check out her blog. It's great! Anyway, I have been tagged and I have to tell 7 things about me so that you all can know me better and stuff. FUN!!!

okay #1 I went to Girls State for a week the summer before my senior year of High school. This is a week where you learn all about government and stuff. I was born and raised in Buhl, Idaho and so all the girls in my city at Girls State dubbed me as "Buhler". Like from Ferris Buhler's Day Off. "Buhler.......Buhler.......Buhler..."

#2 I once ate 14 slices of pizza in one sitting. I will not confess to the question that I know you are all dying to ask of "if I was still hungry".

#3 I once bought a shirt for a basketball team that I had never heard of just so that I could wear it and impress a guy. Who, by the way, didn't even notice.

#4 I spend over $100 every time I go to Costco.

#5 My favorite color is blue. But I also really like red and purple and turquiose and now I am starting to like yellow.

#6 In college I studied Home Economics. I love to sew and I sew all the time now that I have my serger. I also enjoy baking. Not cooking, just baking. I'm into the breads and cookies and pies and cakes and all that. Believe me, my waistband can attest to this.

Last one, hmmmm. #7 My favorite way to spend a day is curled up on the couch in a warm balnket on a cold day with plenty of hot chocolate and cookies watching movies with my kids.

Now the really FUN part! I get to tag seven people to do this same thing!! Yeah me! Okay, I tag Holly, Whitney, Jenna, Cecily R, Tori, Thoroughly Mormon Millie, and my buddy Shannon. Go to it girls!!

add on: I am also tagging my friend Jamie because I realized after I tagged a couple of these gals above that they had already been tagged. Sorry girls! Anyway, check out Jamie's blog!

Ha Ha!

Because Halloween is coming soon

Okay, I honestly don't even know how to respond to this one. I would make a good deformed pumpkin. That's like saying...well, I don't really know what that is trying to say. Just odd. Anyhoo, do the quiz and send me your results. I really want to see how many others are deformed also!

You Are
A Franken Pumpkin Face
You would make a good deformed pumpkin.

I'm Baaack!

Did you miss me? HA! We went to Disneyland this past week and I almost had to be drug home. Seriously. I wanted to just stay at the "happiest place on Earth" because I guarantee that come tomorrow morning when my girls have to get up and go to school...our house is NOT gonna be the happiest place anywhere!

We had soooo much fun! I have lots of pics to prove it, so I will just let them do the talking.
the whole family in front of the flower Mickey and train depot
in front of the "C" of California Adventure (all of us and Grandma)

there were Candy Corns everywhere as part of the Halloween decor and the kids thought these "Candy corn guys" were pretty cool

because of course we HAD to take a picture with Lightning McQueen

Me and my hubby in Dumbo...even we had fun!

Walmart makes me poor

So before school this morning, Meghan comes to me and asks, "Mom, are we poor?"

"um, no. We are not poor. Why do you ask?"

"Because, yesterday at school, Prissy (name has been changed) told me she liked my shirt and asked me where we bought it and I told her that you bought it at Target. And she said that her mom said only poor people shop at Target or Walmart."

(Well then, sign me up for food stamps, 'cuz that's where I shop)

"Meghan", I said, "we are not poor and we are also not stuck up."

I hope that just this one time she repeats every word I said. It would serve Prissy and her mom right!!

I really am Dr. Pepper!!

I LOVE Dr. Pepper and anyone who knows me knows this to be very true. So, I was intrigued by this quiz wondering if my answer who be the same as my fav soda! And totally funny--it is!! As always...I wanna know your results too!

You Are Dr. Pepper
You're very unique and funky, yet you still have a bit of traditionalism to you.People who like you think they have great taste... and they usually do.
Your best soda match: Root Beer
Stay away from: 7 Up

Best Momever

It's my blog and therefore I can do whatsoever I like. Just like at home. The other place of which I am the boss.

My daughter drew this picture for me several months back and I just found it again. I decided that, to me, its message was like a gold medal or an auspicious award. Therefore I am passing it on and starting my own award. (I haven't received any blogable awards- so this is also my first of that kind.)

I pass the "Best Momever" ...(yes, I know two words are combined into one word-that is what makes this award so unique and COVETED)... to my best friend Shannon. Folks...she ROCKS! And she seriously is a Best Momever! So, Shannon, now you can pass it on to someone that you feel is a great mom.

6 things

I have had over 600 hits on my blog. Which is dang weird because I honestly NEVER thought I would get 6 hits. So....

Here are 6 things about me:

  1. I hated celebrating my birthday as a child because it always coincided with Easter and General Conference. (It's April 5th)
  2. I call my best friend every day. Really I do. Sometimes for no reason at all except to say hello.
  3. I have 5 children and I have only been pregnant twice and none of them are multiple births. HAHA. Figure that one out.
  4. All of my sisters have feminine middle names. Mine is my dad's name.
  5. I love warm bread and honey butter.
  6. I grew up in a small town in rural Idaho where everyone knew my name and still does. (FYI, that is NOT helpful when you do something wrong as a teenager)

Vanilla Snickers

If you read my blog at all, chances are that you know that on Wednesdays I do some kind of a quiz. It is fun for me and I hope for you also. I think it is catching on because more and more of you lurkers are leaving comments. I love that! It feels great. Almost like I am popular or something. Probably the something....

Anyway, I thought about doing one I found about "what kind of stripper are you?"...and then I rethought that thought and didn't. WHEW! That might make you all think weird things about me. And then when I was blog-surfing yesterday, I happened on to Wanderer in a Strange Land and she had some fun name changer things that I loved!! They are so fun. What flower are you?

I love flowers! It is my favorite thing about springtime. (yes, I know it's not currently springtime) This quiz caught my eye because this week I have been cleaning out my flowerbeds and remembering how pretty they were this year. So, I kinda have flowers on the brain. I found it interesting that I am a tulip since my favorite flower is a rose. Hmmmm...

You Are a Tulip
You have a wild, experimental side that craves change. You often switch jobs and lovers, always looking for something better. But deep down, you're also very well grounded and content. And you will come to know that the life you live is already ideal.
I wanna see your results!!!

Not again...

I NEED A DAY OFF!!! Seriously...

So, on Friday my 7 year old came home from school and had cut her hair off...in the front...at the bang area...to the scalp. No way to hide that! But we did the whole "who cuts your hair?" talk AGAIN and I thought it was taken care of. Yesterday,my 8 year old calls me from school to tell me that she had cut her hair...to get the gum out of course. ARGH! (that is me screaming)

So, I got to give the "cutting your hair" talk...again. Not too mention the "gum talk".

And then today...I get a call from the school. My 7 year old is hiding under the table and won't come out. So I run up to the school with my other three kids in tow and talk her out from under the table. She didn't have her work done and she got found out by the teacher. Apparently that means we crawl under a table and hide. That'll definately help the work get done. Oh yeah! And then when I got home from that side trip, I get the mail and there is a letter from the school. Fabulous. Oh yeah, more bad news. My daughter failed her hearing screening and needs to have an audiosomethingorother evalutaion done ASAP. Of course.

I swear that my kids are really good kids and this is not normal for them all to be in trouble this many times in a few day period. Really. Maybe if I say it enough times I will also be convinced. The fact that I truly believe the school has my number on speed dial should be a clue to me...but whatever.

Anyway, I need a day off or a vacation or something. Maybe I need a new prescription of Vitamin P. Or some chocolate.
