Locks of Love...or as I like to call it- Helping Mommy's Have More Sanity!

Miss poopy butt had hair that was WAY too long.  It was so long that it got tangled in rats and her mommy would have to brush hard to get them out.  She didn't like that.  She fussed and whined and complained.  So her mommy got a smart idea (sometimes Mommys do that!) and decided to CHOP IT OFF!

MUCH BETTER!  Now instead of being Rapunzel when she was trapped in the tower, she is cutie patootie Rapunzel with short hair that has a cute boyfriend named Flynn Rider.

Lucky me

I feel pretty lucky that unlike a lot of people I know, I have managed to stay in close contact with some of my best high school friends.  And I still adore them like I did then.  They are tried and true friends and because they know all the crazy things I did in my younger years, they have to stay my friends or I will blackmail them with all the secrets they have too.   :)

I think the husbands were BSing...or probably saying how this  "get together" was taking too long!

Dallin (Deanne's son) and Jonathan (my son).  They are 3 months apart in age and have been good friends from the first time they played together.  That to me is the best part about having a friend....when your kids like each other too!

It's no secret that we LOVE our dog.  He is the cutest, the best, the fluffiest.  We just feel so blessed to have a pet in our home and to be able to get such joy from him.  

He is also pretty funny.

He has some quirks.  Not unlike my children.  So he fits in REAL well.

Yoda likes to me in the middle of everything.  Including scripture reading.  It's his fave.

He has claimed the top of the couch as "his spot".  Don't even try to put anything there or push him off.  OH NO!  It's his place!

He also thinks that Meghan is HIS.  His favorite, that is.  He is ALWAYS wherever she is.  He never lets her get very far out of his sight and when she was in school, he would mope all day long because she was gone and then it was like he suddenly knew when school was out because he would go wait by the front door for her.  So fun to watch!

Daddy's birthday

 Mike turned 44 yesterday.  Wow.  It's crazy to think that he is almost half a century old.

Okay, so I get that I rounded up just a tad, but still folks...HE IS GETTING OLD!

My girls went to do Baptisms today at the temple.  Mike took them and they all had a great experience.  I am convinced that taking your daughters to the temple and baptizing them is a great bonding experience for Dads and daughters.  The unique thing about our kids getting to go to the temple is that it does not happen very often.  Our ward only gets one assigned time each year because we don't have a temple (since Ogden is being re-done) and have to use a different temple.  It's hard, but we love when they get the chance to go.  It was Meghan's 2nd time and Rachel's 1st.

Lagoon

 First time at Lagoon this year!  Yay!  It's kind of a fun thing to say "1st time" because there will be more times and all because I worked there during the school days so we could have passes.  What can I say?  I am a giver.
