more randoms

 Jonathan earned his red belt in karate.  He also competed in his first Karate competition and earned a medal.  Every time he competed he was paired up against the grandson of his karate master and he would get walloped.  Yep.  Every time.  But he was a good sport and had fun!

 Sidney celebrated Pirate Day at school.  "Argh matey!  Pass me yer pencil or I'll be making ye walk the plank."

And the 3rd graders showed off their habitats that "they" made (ha ha) for all the parents to walk through and ooooh and aaaaah over who really did a better job.  I thought I did a fine job, by the way.

This is not happening....

I keep saying that I am not having birthdays anymore and them I find myself needing some sort of celebration and before I know it, we are in the midst of "birthday month for mom".  It's great....but it doesn't help me with feeling younger.
Anywho...Mike made me a divine cake!  I found it on Pinterest and requested it and he delivered!
