In 4th grade in Utah they study Utah history and all the counties.  Jenny was a pioneer for the 4th grade program.

She had a speaking part and did so great!!

Singing (she was chosen to be a part of this small group of "soloists" for one of the songs)

Yay for Jonathan!! He earned his green belt from Karate!!  I love seeing his smile (usually...just not in this picture, apparently...) when he does his kicks and blocks and punches.  He is such a rockstar!  He gets picked quite often to demonstrate techniques during his class.  It's so fun as a parent to see him do so well.  His self-confidence keeps increasing and Mike and I love to see the young man he is becoming.

2nd grade animal report

So proud of my little Bubby who stood up so brave and gave his awesome report on Wolverines!!  I love seeing how confident he is becoming and he is such a good little student always trying to do good quality work!  Yay Bubbs!!

Happy Birthday to me. maybe.

Having influenza (the REAL kind) while it's one's birthday week does not make for a great birthday.  Ugh.  I felt so horrible.  I spent an entire week in bed.  Thank heavens it was Meghan's spring break and she was home and took care of Sidney because I was so out of it!  Mike made a delicious HOMEMADE cheesecake for me and boy oh boy, was it yummy!!  That was the only good thing about my birthday at all.  So hello 37...welcome to my world.

Yay for Basketball

Over Conference weekend Mike installed our basketball hoop.  We have been meaning to do this for years and finally it got done.  It's really nice and sturdy and made by Lifetime, so it inserts into this sleeve that is cemented into the ground and you can just slip it out of that to put it away for the winter or whatever.  The kids love it!!

Lego fun

What else do you do while listening to Sunday afternoon conference than create something with Legos?

I know, right?!

Meghan and Jonathan were having a hard time focusing (imagine that), so they got out Jonathan's legos and started creating a scene.  They wanted to build a temple, but Jonathan didn't have enough gray legos, so they did Sacrament meeting instead.  This makes me laugh so hard!!

yes, those would be the priests "blessing the sacrament".

and that is the Bishop speaking with the Sister Missionaries sitting behind him.

Love my kids!  They are the best!
