Sete de Setembro

Hey it's Brazil's Independence Day today! Hooray! If you have been reading my blog for very long at all, then you know that it is where I served my mission and I love it! Such wonderful people and memories!

Not a day goes by that I don't think of the time I spent there and the people that I got to know and grew to love. It was wonderful. My portuguese is not what it used to be and that makes me sad, but with MORE practice I'm sure it could get better!

So anyways....Happy 7th of September everyone!

WOOT WOOT!!

Can I get a "woot woot"? Helio won!!! (Dancing with the Stars) How awesome is that? I think he was so great and I absolutely love the freestyle dance that he and Julianne did. It was perfect! I was kinda bummed that the other two contestants didn't put that much effort into their dances. Maybe they did, it just didn't seem to me like they did.

Anyway, that is what me and the hubby watched last night. I told my girls this morning at breakfast (we were not going to let them stay up late to watch the results-they were so upset about that), and they were like, "yeah for He- how do you say his name again Mom?" It was so funny!!

Best part of the whole thing....Helio is from Brazil- my favorite place in the WORLD, and Julianne is from Utah- the place where we live!
