Projects, projects, projects....
3rd graders learn about different animal habitats and then they make a "biome" to display. Past years we had: Arctic Tundra, and Rainforest Jungle. This year, instead of using one of the already made ones that we saved specifically for that purpose, Jenny decided she needed to break out on her own....create a name for herself...and make a new one. Which basically meant that I got the pleasure of hounding her until she told me what she wanted to do. She chose Grasslands, so we took some old carpet and spray painted in green, she drew a couple of trees that we glued to popsicle sticks and glued to stand up on the carpet and she put some animals "grazing". It was simple and dare I say it...a tad bit lame, but she was content and she got an "A", so it's all good.
Good Job Jenny!!
