crazy week

My week has been Crazy!

Tuesday night Mike and I went to Kingsbury Hall to see "The Rat Pack", our first show from the Broadway Across America season tickets we bought. It was...okay. I think our parents would have enjoyed it far more than we did, judging by the fact that 99.9% of the audience was blue hairs.

Wednesday night we spent ripping plants out of the garden and generally cleaning it up. We filled our garbage can up AND threw tons of stuff over the fence to the neighbors horses. I'm just glad that nothing else is growing. That means my canning is DONE. Hooray!

Besides all that...I have spent every day doing stuff to prepare for tomorrow's Mother/ Daughter Activity Days activity. It's a recognition night too, so we will be giving out awards and welcoming the newbies and I'm the In-Charge gal, so it all falls on me. Which kinda sucks since if something goes wrong or doesn't get done...I get to take that on too. I had to make 4 wall hangings (I will post their picture later), and burn some CD's and and and...you get the picture.

So basically I will be glad when Friday night is over and done. Saturday is the BYU vs Utah game. We will all be in our BYU blue rooting for the Cougs!

And I will most likely be taking a nap too.

Out of Time

I have finally succumbed to what I have been trying to do for oh so very long. I deleted my blogroll from my sidebar. You see, I just don't have time to go through everyone's blog every day. I love you all. I do. But I just gotta have more time for me and my kiddos, oh yeah, and that crazy guy I am married to. He wants some time also.

The Good news is that I finally figured out how to do Google Reader. So, all of your URL's are on there and it will tell me when you post something new and I can read it. If I don't comment, please don't think that I stopped reading you. I didn't. I probably just laughed and then moved on. It happens.

I'm. So. Sorry.

It had to be done.

blogging break

I am taking a bit of a blogging break this weekend. My husband's sister's daughter (okay, my niece!) is being baptized and we are going to go and be with family and enjoy ourselves!

I appreciate all you sweet, kind comments about our adoption story. It is a very special part of our life and even though I hesitate to tell intimate details, I do want to share it. Like I tell my girls, "You can't be ashamed of your adoption. It is a part of you and it makes you special. Other kids were just born into their eternal families, but your mom and dad got to come on a treasure hunt to find you!" :) And they truly are treasures!!

Anyway, thanks for reading!!

July 3, 2007

Well, I am finally getting a chance to sit again and I realize that it has been a while. Mercy! Having 5 kids is not all that I thought it would be. It doesn't help that they are all under the age of 9. School is out for the summer break. We are year-round school, so that means only 4 weeks off. I am actually okay with it this year. We've got lots of things planned. Got the pool set up on Saturday so that the kids can go swimming when it is hot. Meghan and Rachel will do "summer in the park" at the rec center for a couple of weeks. Go to the zoo. That kind of fun stuff. We will stay busy. We always do.
I'm gonna post some photos of the kids and baby Sidney. Too cute not to brag about them, ya know?
