Thankful Thursday

I haven't done a Thankful Thursday in a while, so I felt like today would be a good time to do one.

Things I am thankful for today:

1. That Mike is coming home from his business trip. We all miss Daddy when he is gone, especially Mommy!

2. I filled up the car yesterday for $25. I got gas at Costco for $1.81 a gallon. I have not seen it that low in FOREVER!

3. That Rachel has had a good week. No meltdowns (yet-it IS only Thursday), and no phone calls from the school. Just one little note from her teacher that asked me to help her at home with her math because she couldn't finish it at school since she was getting a little frustrated.

4. I think MY cold is getting better. I can not vouch for Sidney or Mike yet, and it looks like Meghan may be getting sick, but oh well. At least I feel better and can now take care of the rest of the clan.

5. That my Savior loves me. I feel His love daily in my life. Mostly in the little things, but it is manifest nonetheless and I am so grateful for that!

Thankful Thursday #7

Howdy ya'all! What a magical time the last 24 hours has been for me. Really. My hubby rocks the house! He is all I can think about! WOOHOO! So I bet you know what I am thankful for...

WRONG!

Just kidding! I am thankful for him. Totally. I am also thankful that after tomorrow's recognition night for Activity Days, I can take a break. AAAHHH! I have been working my butt off (and yet it is still there- weird...) making little wall hanging things that we give the girls when they turn 8 and come in to Activity Days, as well as living up to my type-a personality and obsessing over every detail of the planned night. I'm sure it will be fun and fine. I hope so. I finally finished MY poodle skirt today. Oh yeah. Did I mention that? It is a 50's themed Daddy-Daughter Date, which should be a lot of fun, but in addition to all the things I already HAD to do for the party, I promised my two girls that are in A.D. that I would make them a poodle skirt to wear. AND then I stupidly thought that I should make one for myself. So that my waist and butt can look even larger and people will be utterly astonished at the amount of FELT that was wasted just to cover said waist and butt. Oh yeah! I am a dork! I freely admit to it.

But, alas, everything is ready and it will ALL BE OVER TOMORROW! Hooray!

anyway, that's what I am thankful for today!

Thankful Thursday #6

I am thankful for my husband. He is my rock and my companion through thick and thin. Next Wednesday is our 9th anniversary and I can't believe that 9 years have already passed by. I love him so much and I am so thankful to have created a family with him and to know that it is FoReVeR! LOVE YOU HONEY! ;)

Today I am thankful that Diarrhea doesn't last forever. And that is all that I am saying on that subject.

I'm also thankful for friends, both old and new. You all rock my world!

Thankful Thursday #4

Today I am thankful for.... a good night of SLEEP! Seems like a small thing, but for me- Woah!- I NEED my sleep. Sidney's tooth broke through a week ago and so she has finally gotten back into her groove of sleeping through the night again. Hooray for Sidney. And hooray for Mommy and Daddy not having to get up with her! YAY!

Thankful Thursday #3 (LATE)

So, yesterday I didn't get around to posting because I am rather sick with strep again(last time was at Thanksgiving). I hate being sick. Mike tries to step in and help, but I am such a booger that I have MY OWN WAY of doing things and though I love him to eternity and back, he just doesn't do it MY WAY. All you type-A personalities out there will understand that. Totally.

Anyway.

Here is what I am thankful for today (well, yesterday really)-----
*Penicillin (and the man who discovered it too) *water bottles *kids not getting in trouble at school (yay Rachel!) *a friend who brought us dinner *LOST every week on TV *warm blankets *Ibuprofen *that my Visiting Teaching was done early this month

Today I am thankful for:


Healthy kids, HUSBAND coming home ToDAY, water, Cable TV, LOST,
NOT feeling the earthquake, teething tablets, my LITTLE SISTER ANDI,
full tank of gas in the car, string cheese, my friend Shannon,
my friend Deanne, my friend Amber, my friend Natalie, SWEET KISSES
from SIDNEY, Jenny being ON TRACK, internet, my chiropractor, and
comfy JEANS.
