Flashback Friday- the cage and the hats

So, a few weeks before I turned five years old, I came down with pneumonia and I had to be hospitalized for two weeks. Some of my earliest memories are of that time that I spent in the hospital. I was little and my mom could not stay with me at night. I remember being very afraid. But there was this one nurse that was a bigger lady and she was very nice to me and tried to comfort me. I remember my Grandma and Grandpa Brown came and visited me while I was there. I remember that I had to have lots of I.V.s and I got poked three separate times just for that. To this day I don't mind shots, or blood draws even, but I HATE I.V.s.

If you can't tell from the nurses uniforms (which are pretty bomb aren't they- I wonder when they switched over to scrubs and no hats?), this all took place in 1980. 'Cuz look at the bed too! I think it's been awhile since I saw a CAGE at a hospital. Woah! Did you just feel that surge as you went back in time....because I did!!

Holy cow! What a picture!

Even though its obviously not the best memory ever, that shot is a treasure.

actually, Mr. fantastic was in one of those cages when he got sick. So they still exist. Maybe it was because he was in the PICU. But I don't know.
I love the hats and wish they still wore them.
